This is my first post so go easy on me. I know that turbo engines can create some extremely hot exhaust, but I was wandering how hot the exhaust gets with naturally aspirated engines. I'm installing the Zeitronix wideband a/f ratio meter in my 240 with a KA (no turbo). The instructions say not to install the wideband oxygen sensor in the stock location or withing 12" of the manifold because temps over 800 degrees celsius can damage the sensor. However, these instructions are written for a turbo eclipse. Should I be worried about this or will I be ok since my motor is NA.

Here's a picture of the stock location.

the wideband will be just fine in the KA's stock o2 sensor location.

the important part about o2 sensor position is that it must be after the turbo [where the pressure/temperature is much lower]. placing the o2 sensor in the exhaust manifold pre-turbo would kill it.
