Hey well I just installed an EGT gauge that reads up to 1600 degrees F and start up the car and it runs straight to 400 and climbs slowly to 600. When driving and cruising the egt settles about 1100 degrees and when throttle is dropped and engine is idling it drops back down to 800 and settles there. On wide open throttle the egt rises rapidly and shoots all the way to 1400 and shows no sign of stopping although it slightly slows going past 1400 degrees but i ran out of road. I have no doubt that it would have hit the 1600degree mark.My car is stock... stock boost, stock maf, stock injectors and a BLITZ SMIC... Not sure if cams have been upgraded or anything like that. Is this the normal temperature for the SR's to run? I know my car is not running lean. It idles and runs great, pulls hard, lots of back fires and flames out the muffler on shifts so i dont think the engine is running lean. Full power from 2000 to 7500rpm with no stutter or drop and i Know what a lean running car feels like so i am pretty sure it isnt the A/F... Just any input on what the EGT should read for an SR20DET. All responses will be appreciated. Thanks all!!

your running about right, maybe a little bit lean. 1600 is super lean and risking cooking the engine. just keep an eye on it, as long as the car isnt running hot you should be fine.
