What kind of temprature are you guys seeing on your EGT's? Also if you list a temp be sure to say where the probe is located and a little about your setup (injectors, turbo, and boost mainly)

failing that what is a *safe* temp on the SR

so far the highest I have ever seen mine get is about 780*C and that was from cruising at about 105mph in about 100*F ambient temperatures for about 25 minutes.

mods are pretty basic, Exhaust, FMIC, BOV, etc...

I haven't even seen 700 yet. I'm between 500 and 700 in normal driving.

ok so at those EGT anyone know the A/F ratio or am i off in left field somewhere? It is my understanding that these things usually have a direct relationship.

also what kindof meters are you guys using. I'de like to go autometer to match the other guages but their EGT has some kinda big hoseclamp with it... looks like it just straps around the down pipe?

There was a good post last week that talked about the relation between the two and that they dont always correspond even when the a/f is good. Just look at last weeks. I cant remember who it was explaining it. It might have been on FA.

Update, I changed my plugs today to a colder plug and now my EGT's are like 60*C lower, which I like :)

I just finished drilling and tapping for autometer pyrometer sensor (1/8 NPT). That thing is too long to be in the 4th runner, so I just put it where #1 runner meets #4. I should've gotten something better, but I too want to math my boost & oil pressure gauge.

I have Denso Iridium 1 Step Colder's

Get them, Keyy's temps drops like 60C when he got colder plugs.

And I use GReddy 52mm Electronic gauges. They are inexpensive and they own. Just no peak/hold/warning :(

I also use Greddy 52mm guages and they are indeed great.

I got some cheap NGK plugs, they cost like $1.27 each and work fantastic like...
