Exhaust Fumes

OK guys,

I've had my 240sx for 2 weeks now, and drive it only on the weekends. I bought the car with a red-top SR20det already in it. But I've noticed that I smell exhaust fumes inside the car when I drive it. I usually drive with my windows open, but I still smell it even when driving on the freeway. Could it be some bad gaskets?

haha i think every 240sx has exhaust fumes inside the car.. i had a hb 240 with a black top and it did the same my current coupe with a redtop does it also.. and my stock s14.. it wouldnt hurt to check your exhaust though..

I was running with no cats and a Trust exhaust w/ 3" piping and no silencer. I had a cat welded on, but it still smells. I'm gonna switch out to a Blitz Nur Spec exhaust that I got used pretty soon. One of my friends said that his 240 w/ redtop SR20 has fumes too. I guess it must be a common problem, but mine seems pretty bad.
