So I got a Maxima SE 2001 last month...beutiful car...black tan leather interior, wood grain kit....anywaytoday the exhaust cracked....following the muffler to the resonator there is a flanger...the pipe crack right at the flange.....i have a warranty so i could just have the dealership fix it (even though im a mechanic..i dont want to pay for parts).....i would also like to know if there is any aftermarket options that are cost effective.....would any new muffler come with the pipe that leads to the flange?.......i dont feel like cutting or welding anything....i just wanna know my options....thanx guys....i look foward to being a part of this board-Danimal84

I'll let the 5th gen owners offer their opinions on aftermarket exhaust options for your car. Just wanted to pop in and say "Welcome aboard."

I'm pretty sure that OEM is the only thing that's going to line up correctly without any tweeking. If you're interested in an aftermarket system, the Greddy EVO2 exhaust for the 00-03 is pretty sweet.
