Exhaust Deafening

I installed my EAM cai and DC Sport cat-back today. They work well, but the exhaust is loud! I have had performance exhausts like Borla and Magnaflow before on 2 Mustang GTs, Trailblazer SS, A4, Miata, and an S2000, but they had NOTHING on this. I love rumble, but man, this is wild.

Before I buy a silencer, can you tell me based on your experience if the exhaust will quiet down with use? If so, I will wait. Otherwise I will go ahead and buy the damper.

I said the same thing 2 weeks after I got mine. It will quiet down some, but not near what the stock sound level was.

I got a silencer for mine which drops a couple hp from the car. It leaves a good low rumble sound but isn't deafening anymore. I have run the silencer the last 2 weeks and will run that 90% of the time when I'm going to/from work. It's a simple screw to take it out so you can run open end easily when you want to.

Just what I needed to hear. I do want a nice rumble, but not the San Francisco Earthquake! I love your ride BTW.
