Do i need to use the exh cam gear or the intake cam gear?

or are they the same?

also i read that if you drill out the key hole 8mm then the bolt holes 8.5mm that would be good, then later the same guy said not to do it which confused me a little.

also since i have an extra set of cam gears im gonna mill slots into them like an adj cam gear unless that sounds like a really bad idea(i work at a machine shop so it will be done professionally)

This is what I did.http://texasnissans.com/tx/for...10766

Some more info on drilling out the cam gear:http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=281511

I did not do anything to the gear. Boosts and pulls just fine. I would not modify them myself. If you are that concerned, just save up and get quality cam gears with quality fasteners.

Thanks, I used your write up best i could but noticed there wasnt a tq spec for the camshaft caps also i like how in that thread the guy says not to do what he did.

Oh well ill prolly keep it one tooth until i get some cam gears im guessing the ebay ones arent that great.

Sorry, the specs on the cam caps are in the FSM. I usually assume folks use my how to's coupled with the FSM (as I do when I do the work). My bad man.

I would wait for quality, even if used, cam gears. Last thing you want is one to slip at 6,000RPM+.
