Are they breaking while your driving the car or while you are trying to pull them?

Maybe the head is warped on the exhaust cam side.

Looks like you're encountering a seizing condition on one or more cam journals which may be due to lack of oil.

Wtf? Did you even read? he said Quote »and the other one i put it on and i tried to get the chain on the intake side and it broke when i took the sprocket off.[/quote] It wouldn't need any lube if he's trying to get the chain on the sprocket.

I know its getting oil. I had it running with the one cam before it broke and oil was on the valve cover when i took it off.

Yes, I read his postings. Cams just don't break that easily.

You have to remember, we're sitting at a computer screen trying to figure out what may possibly be wrong; we're not there to see the problem; we don't know his expertise level.

He may possibly have two problems:- incorrectly removing the cam sprocket- one or more cam journal are seizing up for what ever reason

you puttin any lube on these cam journals and towers before they're going for a spin or you putting them in dry?

they breaking before the first cam tower or behind the sprocket, how are you trying to hold it steady when tightening the sprocket, you using the right bolt/sprocket on the cam, more details.

No I wasn't putting any lube on it. a friend of mine told me that i should the other day. They are breaking before the first cam tower. I have a pair of channel locks to hold it while i tighten the sprocket bolt and they are the right sprocket and bolt.

Are you following the proper bolt removal/assembly order? Are you putting assembly lube on the journals/bracets? Are you tightening down the cam prior to installing the sprocket?
