Havent seen to many members mention anything about this and I have never seen it before on a factory car. So im guessing at full throttle exhaust is routed to the outside pipe and bypass the muffler?

If you want to dump from straight pipes, instead of routing the piping around everything, just get a cut out. http://www.summitracing.com/search/Part ... t-Cutouts/

You can customize the parts as needed, and fairly easily build the set up yourself. Then at the flip of a switch, you can go back to quiet factory exhaust.

sorry, guess i should of been more specific.

I just assumed all J's came with the same muff as my leopard. It has the pipe that comes around the muffler and then joins the one coming out of the muffler for a dual tip. I was painting some of the underside when I noticed the cable or something attached to it and assumed it was some kind of full throttle bypass.

Nobody else has one??
