What's up guys!
Alright - thinking of a few things.
I currently own a Tanabe exhaust. Big benefit of the Tanabe is it saves about 10 pounds off the rear section. The exhaust is gorgeous and I love it.
I'm thinking about expanding more into the performance end of things. I just bought a house and qualified for the wonderful $8k and I'm thinking about all the fun I can have with that cash. I'm thinking about potentially selling off my Tanabe to do a Greddy SE + Racingline Y-Pipe combo. That way, every inch of piping from the header out gets upgraded and someone here would have the pleasure of buying my Tanabe off me.
My other question is - would it be worth going to a catback setup with the y-pipe, or is the $300-$400 extra from my Tanabe to the Greddy not going to be worth the cash at all? Should I just get the y-pipe and leave the Tanabe on the car?
Anyway - does anyone here currently run the Greddy + YPipe combo? This car is my daily driver so I'm trying to keep it classy (read: Greddy TiC = too ricey) and I'm not interested in the look of the Nismo Catback or the fit of the Stillen or Artisan catbacks, and I'm not a chinese ebay exhaust kinda guy either so the Greddy SE is clearly my only catback exhaust option. I'm also curious about clearance issues with the Greddy SE catback as I'm planning on lowering with BCR coils (not too much though... it's a daily and I don't want to destroy my car on my roads around here).
Greddy owners (the few of you - there are about as many greddy SE owners here as there are Tanabe owners lol) please chime in and let me know what you think.-Z
