hey

my question is how good are the throw out bearings that come with exedy clutch kits?

5 months ago i installed a stage 2 clutch in my s14 sr20, i used the TO bearing that came with the kit, and now it's going bad.

im thinking ill use an oem TO bearing to replace it.let me know what you guys think...thanks

I've had two seperate exedy clutch setups now, and used the provided TO bearing without ever having an issue. My first clutch was used for over 40,000 miles and the TO never gave me a hint of trouble. The only reason I installed a new clutch is because I built a new motor.

is there anything that will greatly reduce the life of the TO bearing?installation? shifting? driving?

wobbly input shaft, maybe worn out bearings in the transmission, by the time your t/o goes bag you got bigger problems to deal with

its just a brass bushing, no moving parts. Oem nissan, exeddy, and hi perf ones probably all come from the same subcontractor
