I just ordered the Exedy oem clutch kit for my Versa and it'll be in in a few days. Does anyone know if Exedy is the right way to go? Break in periods? Slip issues?

Yup. It was the only kind though. Only OEM not organic or stage 1 or 2. Is it good quality that you know of?

Why, is you clutch gone already? Was it cheaper than the oem clutch?

Nissan wanted to charge me $637 for the clutch (thats without labor) and the exedy was only $160. I did some research on the oem nissan clutch and people have had some problems with it. Apparently it burns out fast and thats what happened to mine

dude, OEM clutches are just above $165... i buy my stuff through courtesy nissan and give it to the dealer to install. safe yourself several hundred bucks.

How the hell did you burn out your clutch with 107-122hp in 58k :wtf2:
Maybe its the wicked power caused by the plastic thing on your hood, or by removing your muffler? :rotflmao

Wow way to be an a** to other people's form of expression. Why even bother posting on other people's forums if you're just going to try and find ways to insult them? If you put any intelligence into your posting you would have done your research before you make a fool of yourself by trying to put down others. The clutch used in the nissan versa has problems. It's been addressed by many owners and is almost to the point of being recalled. This forum is supposed to be for people who need information, want to discuss modification. or other means of friendly contact. Not for the insulting things you post.
Yes I have a hood scoop. No it doesn't add hp. Why did I put it there? Because I like the way it looks and it ties in with other work I'm doing on my car. I don't bash your car or your decisions. Why bash mine? I suppose if you really just have nothing else to do in your life besides troll this site then by all means continue. I'm sure it makes you feel better. Why don't find someone else's car to insult? You could lob pot-shots at headlight tint. And don't forget the eyelids. Please make sure you cover any and all decals, and of course don't forget to tell people how stupid they are for doing anything performance to the V just because it has a weak stock engine. I'm sure your reply will be just as hostile and unecessary as your initial post.

P.S. This post is about clutches. Or did you not read? :bigthumb:

Might I add that you gained respect from me for apologizing. I really appreciate that. Not many people would stand up and do that. I would like to apologize for my outburst as well. I may have gone over the top a bit. I don't want to make any enemies. We cool?
