It is if that's your main competitors. Who want to own the slowest car in the segment? Is having better acceleration than Camry and Accord worth mentioning? Nothing else, just the acceleration?
Agreed 100%. Major fail. A simple chirp would have been fine. The sensor is there, it can do anything to alert you, why the horn? It could be hazards, ANY special sound that comes from your speakers, the car can have the door looks go up and down a few times... ANYTHING. Why the horn?
I agree the body lines of the new Altima are growing on me. Still hate that grille and wondering what the aftermarket will churn out as far as grilles go. The c pillar and rear side window remind me of the Infiniti m45. It seems the Altima continues to get more and more the size of a maxima. Both cars use the same powerplant are FWD and the maxima is just slightly larger. I guess I'm wondering if Nissan will phase out the max.RCA wrote:

Other than the grill, I like the way it looks.
It was a pretty good ad. I like the new look. The Alti grill doesn't bother me either. Nice next step in the evolution. Hopefully the CVT doesn't go kerplunk.Jesda wrote:Looks goofy, but that's the norm these days.
The tire pressure ad is brilliant.
Agreed. RWD or AWD with a proper manual would be nice. Add a couple turbos (or a healthy bump in power another way), and it just might start pulling sales from the GTR.'d like to see Nissan make the Maxima RWD, with minimal luxuries, AWD, and true handling capabilities - a 4-door GTR, so to speak. Revive the 4DSC tag and go hunting Eurocrap.
Yup. Rear headroom in the Maxima, thanks to its herd-following "coupelike" roofline, is NONEXISTENT. There's barely room for my shoulders back there. But there's decent legroom. Which is silly...you can fit adult legs but only a child's torso. "Coupelike" rooflines need to go the Hell away, NOW. A proper sedan c-pillar is sexier anyway. If I wanted a coupe I'd BUY AN EFFING COUPE. But I'm not busy trying to make up for my tiny weener by unsuccessfully hiding the fact that my car has four doors. Especially since it handles better than half the coupes those middle-aged Viagra-using buyers of "coupelike" sedans wish they drove anyway.AZhitman wrote:Maxima has less rear seat room than the Alty, so I can't see it holding on much longer. Unless Nissan switches the Maxima to the M-series platform (rwd) and makes a "downmarket" version of the M, it's really become an irrelevant car.

Yeah but look at the segment...AZhitman wrote:It is if that's your main competitors. Who want to own the slowest car in the segment?
It's probably not their #1 concern, but polling shows sedan buyers consistently rank it in the top 5 of their criteria.RCA wrote: does that segment really care about that? A difference in a Mid-class car's 0-60 of .2 seconds really doesn't mean much.
