Nissan took the best-selling Altima back to its essence and re-imagined it completely. The 2013 Altima offers great horsepower, best in class 38 MPG and is equipped with a lighter and stronger body. It has improved headlight technology for better visibility and NASA-inspired zero gravity seats that reduce fatigue. The 2013 Nissan Altima is the most innovative Altima ever!

The 2013 Nissan Altima, one of five all-new models Nissan will introduce this year, is now at dealers across the country. The 2013 Nissan Altima will be produced in the Canton, MS and Smyrna, TN plants.

The theme for the 2013 Altima is ‘Innovation that Excites’... I think they may have nailed it.

The 2013 Altima also features class-leading acceleration, Nissan’s Easy Fill Tire Alert System, and a complete redesign inside and out - It's a whole new design, and it should outsell the previous-generation Altima handily!

Wow I love the way the new sedan looks, the older models always seemed so awkward to me!

Looks much like the Maxima, I like :bigthumb:

How are these never been seen before ads if it's on YouTube?

Hate the grill. Is having better acceleration than Camry and Accord worth mentioning? Nothing else, just the acceleration? Sounds like a stretch. Great MPG (assuming it's the 4cyl).

Other than the grill, I like the way it looks; I don't think it looks great, it just doesn't look bad. The tire tech is interesting but seriously think about it, why the horn? The sensor is there, it can do anything to alert you, why the horn? It could be hazards, ANY special sound that comes from your speakers, the car can have the door looks go up and down a few times... ANYTHING. Why the horn?

Car looks good and depending on the price, I would definitely be interested.

Because we received them before they were on YouTube and posted them as soon as they were loaded. They had 12 views. :)

It is if that's your main competitors. Who want to own the slowest car in the segment?

Agreed 100%. Major fail. A simple chirp would have been fine.

I agree the body lines of the new Altima are growing on me. Still hate that grille and wondering what the aftermarket will churn out as far as grilles go. The c pillar and rear side window remind me of the Infiniti m45. It seems the Altima continues to get more and more the size of a maxima. Both cars use the same powerplant are FWD and the maxima is just slightly larger. I guess I'm wondering if Nissan will phase out the max.

I love the grill, but then again, I get bored with "same-old, same-old" designs.

The C-pillar, headlight/taillight "spurs", and grill design are likely to remain a while as Nissan / Infiniti styling cues. Not a bad thing.

Maxima has less rear seat room than the Alty, so I can't see it holding on much longer. Unless Nissan switches the Maxima to the M-series platform (rwd) and makes a "downmarket" version of the M, it's really become an irrelevant car.

I'd like to see Nissan make the Maxima RWD, with minimal luxuries, AWD, and true handling capabilities - a 4-door GTR, so to speak. Revive the 4DSC tag and go hunting Eurocrap.

Looks goofy, but that's the norm these days.

The tire pressure ad is brilliant.

It was a pretty good ad. I like the new look. The Alti grill doesn't bother me either. Nice next step in the evolution. Hopefully the CVT doesn't go kerplunk.

The grill doesn't bother me either. Neither does the quick horn beep for tire filling.

The exterior is very Infiniti M.
The biggest difference I noticed between the current maxima and 2012/earlier Altima was basically how solid it was built. Cranking the stereo in the Altima resulted in mirrors that vibrated, a few rattles here and there, etc. The maxima stayed rock solid... and it seemed to handle a bit better. Worth the price increase? I don't think so. Nissan tried to re-sell the current Maxima as the revived "4DSC", which it MIGHT have been able to pull off if they offered it in a manual transmission and something that took care of that horrendous torque steer.

Agreed. RWD or AWD with a proper manual would be nice. Add a couple turbos (or a healthy bump in power another way), and it just might start pulling sales from the GTR.

Yup. Rear headroom in the Maxima, thanks to its herd-following "coupelike" roofline, is NONEXISTENT. There's barely room for my shoulders back there. But there's decent legroom. Which is silly...you can fit adult legs but only a child's torso. "Coupelike" rooflines need to go the Hell away, NOW. A proper sedan c-pillar is sexier anyway. If I wanted a coupe I'd BUY AN EFFING COUPE. But I'm not busy trying to make up for my tiny weener by unsuccessfully hiding the fact that my car has four doors. Especially since it handles better than half the coupes those middle-aged Viagra-using buyers of "coupelike" sedans wish they drove anyway.

Also F#CKING BOOMERANG LIGHTS ARE MY NEMESIS.

NICE! Congrats on the exclusive.

Yeah but look at the segment...
It's like saying "the new Ferrari 458 Italia has the most leg room in it's class", does that segment really care about that? A difference in a Mid-class car's 0-60 of .2 seconds really doesn't mean much.

All i can say is, im disliking the amount a sportiness Nissan has to offer. And now the new Altima could fool me for a Maxima...as Nissan becomes Honda...

It's probably not their #1 concern, but polling shows sedan buyers consistently rank it in the top 5 of their criteria.

Nissan is REALLY pushing that car out there.

Today, on Vancouver's two biggest newspapers, there was an Altima on the front page, and that's it...Just a red Altima on the front page.

Never seen an automotive manufacturer advertise a vehicle like this.

Bex and I got to inspect a 2013 Altima this weekend at Pinnacle Nissan.

The interior AND exterior are gorgeous, and WAY more refined than most cars at this price point. The seats are spectacular, and rear seat room is all-day-trip-worthy. I have a feeling this thing will put the Maxima AND the Camry out of contention.
