I have a 2000 crewcab wth a totally blown-out drive shaft carrier bearing. The shop replacing it says their cost is about $300. This seems excessive, especially with a mark-up. Anybody know about the cost?

I'll check with my local Nissan Parts guru. It does sound a bit high.

If it's a 4x4, For that money, I'd get rid of it all together and get the rear driveshaft from a 2001+ king cab - it's one piece.

I had my driveshaft from my 93 shortened, balanced, and the carrier bearing replace for $250.

I have a 2000 crew cab. this is the second or third carrier bearing I have had to replace. Will a 2001+ king cab fit or will I need to have one made?
