Looking for anybody that has had issues with excessive crankcase pressure with their 3.5L.

There is a whistling noise coming from under the intake manifold and if you pull the dipstick or oil fill cap the noise goes away and the pressure is relieved.

I replaced the PCV on the right front valve cover, didn't fix it. Is there another PCV located somewhere else or am I missing any other simple fixes. The car runs awfully strong for there to be a compression issue.

Any help would be appreciated....

Sounds like a manifold leak. If you are under warranty take it to the dealer.

How many miles? Is the noise at idle or at speed? Did you hear anything when you pulled the oil dipstick? Look for crimped vacuum lines too....

Last question, have you done any mods recently?

I'd check the compression anyways. It may not be a very heavy level of blow-by but perhaps more than the PCV system is intended to handle.

Im guessing that You have an intake vacuum leak.Removing the oil cap will make the sound go away because it creates a bigger vacuum leak.Removing the oil cap from most modern cars will create a vacuum leak that will make the car run rough, and then the computer will adjust for it.This is because most modern cars have a closed vent recirc system.(not open to atmosphere)The reason for the closed system ,is to have a way to vent the system ,without inducing unmetered air into the intake charge. If Your car doesnt run rough when You remove the oil cap, that would be a good indication that You have a vacuum leak somewhere other than the leak You created by removing the cap. Also,do these cars have a crancase vent valve? This valve is in the crancase vent system similar to a pcv valve. This valve is used where there is a closed system ,unlike the older pcv valves that were an open system. This valve is usually under the intake manifold,or on the back of the intk man.Jeff F

No mods and it's out of warranty.

I really need to know if there are multiple PCV valves....
