hey everyone, my drivers side wheel/tire seems to have excessive camber while my passengers side wheel/tire seems to have excessive caster. Don't really know what the problem is. I'm running mismatched tires in the rear but I don't think it would affect it by that much. any ideas? thanks in advance!

rear doesn't have caster??? lwhat kinda excessive camber? negative? positive?Negative camber the top of the tire points inward, like on lowered cars that haven't been fixed... positive the tire leans outwards at the top..

caster is the forward/rearward tilt of the shock. positive caster places the wheel ahead of the upper pivot, like a bike, negative places the wheel reward, like the wheels of a shopping cart.

Do you mean toe? toe is whether the tires are parallel or pointing towards each other.Toed in the front of the tire points inwards, toed out is the opposite...

Look under the car for damaged/bent parts...have you hit anything? messed with any of the bolts on the arms? installed new suspension components???

rear caster is when the traction rod is bent and pulls the wheel forward/backward in the wheel well. sounds like you or previous owner busted the back wheel on a curb.

here's a picture of it...LOL you can see the Pornstar bumper sticker the previous owner left on there....it's baked on thanks to the florida sun...

man this picture makes the camber look really horrible. i couldn't really take a good picture of the passengers side. i'll try to get one up. i think i'm noticing the pass. side camber problem because the tire isn't holding air...lol, yeah i should replace the tire...alright hope this helps

that definately doesnt look normal. it sounds like the previous owner probably slid the car sideways into a curb or something, since both wheels face the same way. id definately take it to a shop that does good alignments.

did another inspection. the passenger's side really isn't that bad...most of it is probably caused by my tire not holding air. i can see that the drivers side does have a bit more camber. i'll have a 4 wheel alignment done soon (if i have the money) hopefully this fixes the problem
