Hello everyone!
OK. So my qx4 has been needing the strut and shocks changed for the longest. I changed the front strut, myself, a few months ago. Soon after I've been noticing more roll so as of about a month ago, I finally changed the rear shocks, thinking it would stop the body roll. But, to no avail, it didn't do much, just a little but I'm not satisfied. The front driver side is the last one that needs to be changed. My question is, why am I still getting more roll with those three changed. Did I miss something?

Our vehicles have a common problem where the bushings on the rear control arms wear out, making for excessive body roll and the rear wiggle, giving you that fishtailing feeling. I did a writeup when I did my 01; the rear suspension looks to be identical on the 00, though you may need slightly different part numbers:

The quick way to determine if yours need service is to grab the lower control arm and twist it. If it twists at all, the bushings are shot and need replacing. You shouldn't be able to move them by hand at all.

Also, you may want to replace the bushings on the panhard rod and stabilizer bar, and the stabilizer bar connecting rods:

Check 4x4parts.com for polyurethane bushings. Polyurethane will mean a slightly stiffer ride, but they generally last as long as the car.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Cool!! Thanks for all the info. I thought something would be wrong with the bushings but didn't know for sure. Wow! Thanks again! I needed this. I may chime back in on this too, to keep y'all abreast of things and questions that may arise later.

So control arms are my main focus if I want to stop the excessive roll?
