Exaust questions(qx4)

Hi I have two questions about my 2001 infiniti qx-4. First has anyone ever had a problem with exhaust noise at around 1700-1900 rpms. My reason in asking when ever the truck hits in that range I get a very obnoxious noise coming from the exhaust. Mind you that anything over or under those rpms the truck is fine.

Question #2 This may sound like a stupid question but would it be possible to put an exhaust system for the same year pathfinder on my truck. I'm thinking cause its nearly the same car with a few exceptions. I'm not very knowledgeable with the exhaust specs so I was wondering if someone could help me out with that. Because I haven't been able to find many exhaust systems or mufflers for a qx-4

Im not sure about swapping with a pathfinder exhaust, but it would be much chaper to fix your current exhaust. If its sounding funny only at certain RPMs, there is probably a leak in the system. Most likely at a connection point. And you dont need an exact fit type of muffler. A muffler shop can weld on whatever muffler you want. Performance, OEM, or cheaper aftermarket replacement.

I would check all the heat shields on the exhaust to make sure they are tight....

check the header for leaks

Thanks for the help guys. Sorry I did not respond quicker but I'm only 17 and have school work and such. But I found that the whole exaust system needs replacing. Everything is comming appart due to rust and poor installation
