I'm new to this forum and I'm trying to reach out to people that have more experience with these cars then I do. On my 04 g35 sedan both of my catalytic converters are shot! For now I replaced them with used oem parts. Eventually is like to see more power and better sound out of my car. Am I able to just add straight pipes or high flow cats? Is there any major modification that needs to be done to the exhaust to do that? Would I need a series of glass pack mufflers to keep the same compression? I'm hoping I can buy a direct fit part.

Invidia, Kinetix, Stillen, and others make a direct bolt on high flow cat for the G37, so I'd imagine you can find the same for the G35. I drive an M that shares some parts with the G, so it's just an educated guess from me.

I have Invidia high flow cats along with Stillen intakes and it's a great sound.
