EX35 w/ Megan Racing 08+ G37 exhaust installed

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi guys,

I just got the exhaust installed. It's not easy working on it myself, there are tricks involved in this install and I hurt myself couple times

The result... My car sounds like 370Z with exhaust and I can finally hear my rev match! I think the sound is what most of you are looking for~

I will post pictures tonight when my bro gets back... I have no idea how to upload it to his ftp...

I will try to make time to film it tomorrow when the rain stopped.

Stay tuned!

Ready to remove the stock exhaustThese are the bolts for the muffler hanger. It is almost impossible to remove the muffler w/o remove the brackets for the hangers. It is lot easier this way if you work alone. Remove the brackets for both sides.

The weight is not much of difference... 3lb is not going to do anything...

Very nice exhaust!! It looks like the tips stick out a little bit compared to stock??

Can you tell us a little bit about your set up? Stillen intake + Berk HFC + Megan exhaust to achieve the great sound??

Thanks!!

the flamed tips actually look good on the obsidian black.

looks like i may just go with berk for my setup tho, the flamed tips w/ blue slate is a no no.

I was talking about the removeable baffles in the tips of the mufflers.

Looks like you took them out.

Waiting to hear the sound.

R.O.C. stands for Republic of China.

The baffles/silencers are PITA to remove. There is no brain to it, just pull as hard as you can but you need to use some sort of hook to pull from the inner end.I figured there might be some trick to it so I called Megan about it, they said just pull...

I finally got one side off after hurting myself couple times and finally gave up on it. Took to a local muffler shop and took them 3 minutes to pull it off with proper tool but 1 bent silencer.

Compare with silencers on and off, they don't really deadening the sound at all.

do you have a pic of the Berk HFC? or rather the whole set up for us? I'm just curious what it looks like.

I totally forgot to take pictures of the HFC when I got them...To take pic of the whole setup I need to jack my car high enough, probably do that when I am doing the next oil change.

Install this exhaust does not require to jack the car up, I am able to get under it... atleast half of my body... I am too fat... lol

ahahha that comment made my day.

okay! looking forward to the pics!!

considering no one answered me about the projector lens and i have no interest in the body kit.... the only thing i guess i'm planning to buy is gonna be the Berk HFC and some version of the G37 08+ exhaust. Tho by the looks of it, this is also the quietest.....could go with the HKS one or the Tanabe but i know both of those will make me cry when my cute ute becomes rice rocket.

Is there a clip of just the HFC's before you put the Megan on?

Mine won't sound the same since I don't have HFC's.

Now all we need is a clip of JUST the Megan muffler at idle, revving and pulling away from a full stop!! Looking forward to that, John

very nice.

probably a bit too raspy for my preference on the EX, but the tone is definitely there.

if you can, the next vid should be in-cabin to show how bad or non-existent the drone is. Thanks man

it's pretty nice that the HFC and exhausts have all clean bolt-ons. or in my case maybe it's bad (cuz i'm leasing), cuz this is making me itch to do some gift shopping for myself for spring season mods!!

I lease too.

I save everything I take off. I swap it back.

Easy. Don't let it hold you back.

I'll pass.

Each his own, I guess.

Sounds like a really bad Ricer now.

The burnt Blue Tips don't do anything for me, either.

I'll give it about a Year, before the Rust starts coming through.

definitely!

what are your plans on the EX since you do have the Megan exhaust already, i figured we could see if there's any interest in a group buy for the HFC.

Judging by the way things are turning out, megan being probably the quietest in terms of options for exhaust set up i will probably either pick up a G37 exhaust liek you John, in NY it's very easy to find those lol, don't want to rasp too much.

Looking forward to hearing just the Megan on the EX35... Will sound a lot more subdued I am sure. Evidently, the blue tips can be polished out to a nice chrome finish.
