EX35 Lift Hatch Inoperable

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I recently took my car in for a routine maintenance and just noticed 2 problems: 1) the on-and-off snow switch is loose and 2) I cannot open my back lift hatch. Any ideas to get the back lift hatch working again? I've tried the obvious (unlocking it using the key and the car mode) but it's still not working. I'm trying to avoid the dealership b/c they're not very hospitable towards me (a woman) but I'm willing to try it if there's nothing else I can do. Thank you in advance!

If you are still under wty, take it to the dealer. Should fix it for no charge.

Woman to woman I would:

1>>>Find another dealership or
2>>>Take a trusted male friend (Sorry to say it but thats the way the world is.) as escort from work or relative that knows about cars. :mike

Example:

When my brakes needed to be done the dealer magnified and exaggerated to his heart's  content to get me to drop $400 for rear brakes.
My boyfriend had recently checked them and said NO WAY the brakes were that worn and we were upgrading the entire system anyway - so we passed on the service.
