EX35/FX35 RIDE FEEL (Owners)

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello,

First time poster. I'm thinking about trading in my S500 for the EX35 AWD with all pkgs except LUXE (Because the tires cost more and last less).

My question: Is the ride as bumpy as the FX? Because after owning the FX for 3 years I think I developed a Spinal condition. The S-class is soooo much smoother (even though it has 18 inch rims).

I can honestly say that the ride is not going to be as smooth as the S-Class. Might be a good idea to test drive one before buying because the ride is a little firm and bumpy. I used to drive an Acura RL before the EX and there was a major difference in suspension.

I have owned an 2004 FX35 with 20" tires and never got used to the choppy ride. I bought the EX35 with 18" tires and there is a world of difference. The ride is much more compliant, yet firm. I suggest you test drive one with the standard 17" tires and I think you will be quite pleased. Both the ride and the drive train are joy to experience. I recently took my EX in for service and they gave me a 2007 FX35 loaner and after driving the Ex, the FX seemed primitive in the ride and handling. Go for it!
