EX35 Engine shuts off while driving at a low speed

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Someone else had a similar problem:

Apparently they got it fixed, but there's not enough detail there for me to find any related post in the Nissan Pathfinder forums. You might try sending them a message directly.

I too have this problem with my 2010 EX. It's been in the shop twice, once to reset the computer/timing with no success, and lastly to change out oil filter/cam covers (I think). The car is still stalling at low speed when coming to a stop. It's not all the time...maybe once every two weeks. This is a safety issue because it did happen once when I was making a left turn. Fortunately, there was no oncoming traffic and it quickly restarted when I put the transmission into park and pressed the ignition button. I will be taking it to the NEW Infiniti dealer in Santa Monica for follow-up. HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM.

Yes I also had this problem, went to my dealer multiple times to figure it out. With no luck as i brought it in one more time I was able to reproduce the problem. It happens to be a torque converter problem. So ya from my experience it wasn't fun. Hope this helps!
