EX35 cameras

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello everyone... I own a 2012 EX35 and my problem is none of the cameras are working...A mechanic came and checked it out, stated that current is reaching both cameras but not sure whats causing them to not come on..Any advise is appreciated.

Maybe there is an issue with the transmission selector not knowing that it's in reverse? Do your reverse lights work?

Yes the reverse lights do work but neither the front or back cameras.

I'm not sure what shows up on your screen, but I did find a thread about a similar problem in the forum here:

It looks like a simple procedure that you can try yourself.

If you want to dig deeper, check out the AV.pdf file of the 2012 EX35 factory service manual. You can find it on this forum at the following address:
http://www.nicoclub.com/manuals/EX/2012/av.pdf
The camera calibration procedures I believe are on page 428.

Good luck and let us know if you are able to get your cameras working.

Just saw your thread, I recently had the same problem. Turns out that the drain tube from my sunroof had disconnected, and in a rain storm flooded the floor of the car. For some ungodly reason Infiniti placed the around view control module under the driver's seat and it caused the failure of the module.

If you have not done the work, you can remove the driver's seat, and move the carpeting enough and disconnect the module. A used module from a junk yard runs between $100 and $200. A new part is about $500 from a Nissan dealer.

You are supposed to need to recalibrate the module after replacement, but mine worked fine without the adjustments. I did have to reset the air bag warnings, but no big deal.

All things told, probably cost me 3-4 hours of work.
