EX35 Accessories - Your experience

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi EX35ers..Let's start a thread about the available EX35 accessories out there and your experience/recommendation as to what is worth installing or not?

So far, I have wrapped the steering wheel with black-on-black leather ($56) from http://www.autosportcatalog.com at:http://www.autosportcatalog.co...ID=NA

and I have added the cargo net, cargo organizer, cargo protector and infiniti's floor mats ($127).

I highly recommend the steering wheel cover, floor mats and the cargo protector. You can do fine with either the cargo net or the organizer, depending.

What have you added and what do you think about your addition?

Pronse.

The cargo protector came with my car. I got the dealer to install tints (all around) and a remote start. I have added the infiniti rubber floor mats which are great!! costs $90

I have installed K&N Air Filters (2) costs about $150 but I wont have to worry about replacing them again.

I have also switched out all my interior light bulbs, license plate bulbs, and day time running light bulbs to a xenon white bulb which i personally think it looks better than the halogen bulbs. Total cost was about $100.

What's with the daytime running lights? Thought they were only available north of the border.

So, were the DRL bulb slots previously empty, or did you have DRLs on your USA vehicle all along?

Just curious,David

Roller,Frankly, I am not sure how the DRL is supposed to work on the EX35?

I have adjusted the sensitivity in the Settings to the highest, with Auto (in the Steering wheel), but it doesn't seem to turn anything on until very late in the day?

I need to have the low-lights on whenever I start the vehicle, regardless. My BMW was set that way at the dealer thu.

Is there a way of doing so on the EX35 or is it just my case?

Mine is a US vehicle and I don't know if there is an extra bulb socket or not? I will surely check it.

Also, where do usually buy your stuff?

Thanks,Pronse.

I didn't have to adjust any settings. When I have the setting turned to auto these bulbs turn on no matter what time of day. I would check to see if you have these bulbs or maybe I can post a pic for you to show you what i'm talkn about.

The rubber mats I bought from a nearby dealership. However I do have link that seems to have decent prices on accessories.

As for the light bulbs I used 2 different sources. I have a local shop called Car Boutique that I bought most of the bulbs and the K&N filters from. However the footwell bulbs I had to purchase those from http://ledlight.com

Infiniti dealer mats could be better. Here in Canada where it snows a lot the Weather techs are probably more recommended. I was dumping water out which accumulates as snow on shoes melt and everytime I spill some back on the carpet bacause they are too shallow. And believe me I'm careful, (you should see the look on my wife's face with matching foot tapping while waiting for me. ) Good thing they wre free from the dealer or I'd be pissed. Cargo liner also Infiniti is ok, don't really notice it much but I guess it keeps the cargo area carpet clean if you're OC like me.

The footwell bulbs are above the feet of the driver and the passenger...they are very tiny bulbs and inexpensive...you only need 2 bulbs. Yea those you should have.

I want to get the aluminum pedals like the white one in Japan I've seen on this site. I'd also like to put on some 19" or 20" wheels, but I want them to be quite wide in the rear maybe between 9" and 10" rim in the rear.

I think the car would look much better with 275mm tires in the rear. When you look at it from the rear, it looks funny right now. Kind'a like a chicken. Big body, skinny legs.

I'd increase the diameter a little just to close the gap a bit without resorting to lowering the car. I'm also interested in the bracket being sold here that stiffens the chasis a bit.

Just my wish list. Oh, yeah, some better flowing air filters would be nice too!

No turbo kits yet????

I'd also recommend the factory "all-season" mats here in the midwest. They may not work for people with lots of snow in the north, but for the occasional couple of inches of snow and rain, the factory mats work fine. We also did tint all the way around installed at the dealer who did a nice job. However the best add on was the headrest mounted dvd players...if you have little kid(s) and go on long drives, you know what I'm talking about.
