EX35: a Couple of little things that bug me...

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

2009 EX35: loaded with all the options, Well i have had it since mid-October - 7500Kilometres on it.

Love the car, really enjoy driving it but of course there are a couple of small things which really irk me:

Passenger wiper leaves a big streak at the end of the wiper (4-5 inches wide) - and its right in my vision when not driving. IN the slush conditions and in a winter climate, you would think at this $ it would clean all the window. Guess i will have to put one of those spring type thingies on it.

You would think they would have made enough room somewhere to let you put at least a windsheild washer container!!!! I presently have it in a net type cargo hold in the back. But under where the tire is you think they could have molded a spot to allow you to put a one gallon container.

One more small thing which has been discussed, ipod should charge..yes, i know i can put the music on the hard disk but why not have the cable charge the device at the same time!!!

the windshield thing is probably not the fluids fault. It is most likely that you used ur wipers over an iced windshield. in return, it has probably frayed or dmg the rubber wipers. That is why you end up with bad streaks. fluid kinda helps but if it's all frayed and worn out as time goes on it will get progressively worse, just change it out.

the ipod thing is not Infiniti's fault, car companies can't always keep up today with tech comps. In fact it's impossible (just look at how fast the iSlate and Nexus One development gathered steam from fiction to fact) - thing is in 2008-2009 which would be ur production year, yes it's marked 09 but was already available starting 08, in lieu of that fact, there was no way for them to prep for the new 5v ipods....and then they did address it in 2010, by offering just a USB port.

there are adapters out there if you really need to charge in car.

and yes, the space was a factor of , but if it was that big of a deal none of us would have purchased this car. Clearly it only contributed to a small annoyance or none at all.

On my 1st G I had the wiper blades on for 2 years and traded in with them working perfectly. My 08 is now year old and still good condition. Have you tried rainX? Maybe that would help. Some people love it. I myself never tried it since I am a happy camper.

I never carry windshield washer. Although the Canadian G comes with the small cargo net to carry a gallon washer fluid. Do you travel that much/long? I usually just fill it up every week. I use less than a gallon for the winter season. Between me and my wife we use about 2 gallons a year. I drive about 30000km a year and my wife drives about 7-8000km a year.

As JCL mentioned the charging ipod isn't really Infinitis fault. Apple changed the set up out and it just not working on most cars. You can either get the cable what charges the ipod or get the older version ipod. I have an older one for music in the car. Search for Scosche adapter. That will charge your ipod. It goes for around $25-30.
