EX35 2008 AWD Journey not starting/not cranking - but has power

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Just returned to my Minnesota home after 3 weeks away. Car was outside in many sub-0 days - now won't even pretend to start. Dash lights all come on - brake pedal remains depressed - had roadside assist. with double jump packs on the battery - but had no different effect. Can't hear any clicking when hitting the start button. Anyone got a silver bullet???

This happens to me twice and both times it was the fuel pump. But it would crank, just did not catch....does yours crank?

They had to change it at a cost of $1,100 CDN the second times as it was out of warranty. Not cool.

No - it does not crank. I seem to recall this sort of thing happening a several years back, and I did some kind of reset of a system, like the error code reading system. I don't recall. But I think I will disconnect the battery and see if there is a sort of reboot that might occur.

OK. So, I attached a battery charger for about 2 hours and it started. Don't understand why the road assistance guy with two power packs attached to the battery couldn't even get it to crank. Problem solved.
