EX Steering

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

One of the few things I don't like about the EX is the steering, it feels a little loose to me. Car experts will probably think this a stupid question, but is it possible to have the steering "tightened" so it responds more like a G35 or 37?

If you could, would this even be a good idea, messing with the handling dynamics?

the steering is pretty tight. That's the fat tires that give you the impression. Once, I switched to 20" rims I love the way the car feels.

Coming from an 07 RDX, that steering was TIGHT. everything about that car was tight... I guess Acura thought that it was too tight (and also forgot who they originally marketed the car to) and really made a change for the 08 and newer models. It was way too loose. Most people liked the tight steering in comparison....

Well, the EX steering to me is right in the middle. "It isn't too tight. Isn't too loose. It feels juuuust right" ......(Goldilocks, 1849)

I agree. Coming from a G I thought the EX steering was a bit too heavy at first, but it has been consistently growing on me. The G had terrific road feel, but was twitchy on the highway, the EX feels much more planted, more grand tourer than sportsvagen.
