Hey guys! Long time member and ex-moderator for the 07+Altima forums here. Yes, I know there is a search feature but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I have an 08 G35 sedan Journey with the OEM 18" wheel upgrade which I'm looking to drop but can't seem to find any before/after pics of the G with Pro-Kit, Tein, and Tanabe springs.

Any suggestions and/or opinions on the different brands along with pics would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for a mild .75"-1.0" drop without loss in ride comfort. I'm not tracking the car and it is a daily driver so I need a very smooth ride. Comfort over performance in this case. I noticed the Eibach is a pretty large drop of 1.4" or so but is there any manufacture out there with a <1.0" drop?

Thanks in advance.

Look into Tein. The other two are pretty aggressive drops. I have H&R springs and it dropped more than an inch. I'd say Eibach, tanabe and H&R are all about the same amount. How about the 350z Tein S-techs? Those are a little bit lower than the G35 S-techs.

The H techs are 1.5" drop front & 1.3" drop rear.

325 spring rate front & 263 rear

The S tech are 1.9" drop front & 1.8" drop rear

358 spring rate front & 291 rear

Eibach Pro Kits are 1.4" drop front and 1.3" rear

I will get you some info on H & R.

Thanks for the specs on the springs. Those are still lower than I want to go. Do you know if there is any springs out there that are around 1" or so?

tanabe is the lowest drop available for springs. if eibach sounds like its too much then its tanabe that you want.

Wow the Tanabe NF210's drop the car 1.0" front and 1.3" rear! The rear seems to be lower than the front in stock form so adding an extra 0.3" to the rear will give a sagging look, no? Ideally, I'd like a 1.0" front and maybe a 0.8" rear, is there such a thing out there?

I have Eibachs on my car and my car is a daily driver. I would recomend them to any V36 owner. The drop on Eibach is less than H&R. Keep in mind both use progressive spring rates. I can't speak for H&R, but the ride on Eibach springs is not harsh at all. Here are some before and after pics from when Eibach did the R&D on my car a few years ago.

terrycs, thank you so much for the pics! It's perfect because my car is the exact color and trim as yours. I guess I'll be going with the Eibach. I was a little hesitant because the drop seemed to extreme but it looks perfect. Thanks again!

Terrycs - That drop looks awesome. What eibach springs did you have installed and did you need a camber kit? Did you notice any issues with speed bumps or scraping in general? I live in Houston, TX and they LOVE their speed bumps and steep parking lot entrances. Those are the only things making think twice about lower the car, but the drop doesn't look to harsh with the eibachs.

How long did you have the Eibachs? I've considered them for my coupe but they were harsh as hell on my Maxima.
