Didn't see a specific user intro forum.

Just bought my first Nissan a month ago. What an amazing car. Great daily driver and doesn't skip a beat in the cold Canadian winter.

Car is a 1993 R33 GTST Sedan, it has been babied it's entire life and is in mint shape.

I'm gonna try and make it out to some Nico meets this summer. I hope to both learn from, and contribute positively to, this forum.

I'll be at Import Alliance in Kentucky this July. Love my road trips down into the USA.

Car has the Impul GTR sedan exhaust and GTR sideskirts. Lowered on Tein coilovers. Blitz BOV and apexi turbo timer. Full Hertz system with 12" sub-woofer.

I love it. A very sharp looking sedan, especially the shape of the greenhouse and rear door.

Thanks eveyone!

These cars are very reasonably priced up here in Canada because of our fair import laws... So it is affordable to daily drive these things. And the R34 becomes available for import this year. Will likely import the R34 GTT sedan in a few years, after i've enjoyed this car fully.

Yes the rust is starting around that third brake light. A guy from Japan told me that it is a very common propblem with the R33 sedans, and that a lot of people take out the 3rd brake light and fill it with putty. lol, omg, no. Isn't that like a sin....? First warm weekend I'm gonna do some bodywork and painting in my friends garage, he used to manage a body shop, so he's gonna help me with the blending and feathering ect.

As far as the salt battle goes... I buy the seasons pass at one of the big Gas Station chains. So I can touchless wash the car once everyday. Includes underspray and spray on wax. It's only like 60$ a month.... I've always kinda wondered though.. If its bad to wash your car 300 times a year.. Didn't seem to hurt my last project car though. That chassis had zero rust, not bad for a '98 Civic that had seen at least a dozen winters.

Back on topic, I recently cemented some tiny holes in the GTR exhaust, so that will have to be upgraded in a few months. Gotta find something not too loud... Cause that's when you really get targeted by the Authoroties it seems.

Car has 190K on it so just did the drive belts and transmission fluid... Fuel filter is next.

Don't forget you'll probably need a timing belt @ 200K too, unless you have a record showing when it was last replaced.

I like R33, though I give my friends a hard time by calling them the boat of the R Chassis, lol...

With that said, I prefer, and just my preference, I think the R32 4-door is by far the best 4-door of the R-Chassis. Again, your car is very beautiful, very clean and a great start, but.....that back end just....does not do it for me.

Any plans for future mods or do you plan to stick mostly stock?

Nice. I think the R33 sedans look much nicer than the coupes (which have a goofy roofline and a HUGE butt).

Aye!

Actually hat's about the only service record I have... Nismo R belt @ 89,000km. So it's due now'ish.

Gonna get a Tomei one from RightDrive.ca soon.

It's a heavy car, especially the sedan... But doesn't feel like it on the road. Nissan did a great job with that.

No worries. If we all liked the same things, the car scene would be pretty lame. :D

For now I'm just gonna try to restore it to mint condition and enter it in a few shows. I figure since its 20 years old, it'll show well with very little mods. Classic JDM wheels are a must for summer though... nothing crazy, 17x9 (GTR size), with a good off-set to fill out the wheel wells. The rear fenders were rolled by a previous owner... But I doubt I'll take advantage of that feature. I'm of a function > form kind of a guy.

When I get up around the 300, 000km mark... Then we'll see if I rebuild the motor and turbo. Or get the 34 GTT 4dr.

Yes! Exactly.

I was researching replacement vehicles, looking at the Aristo TT mostly, and a few other cars like the Lexus LS 430. I had ruled out the Skyline cause I thought it was a coupe only... Then as soon as I saw my first R33 GTST sedan on-line. Time slowed and a golden ray shot down from the clouds. And I think I even heard a choir.... lulz.

Well the GTST or GTT is the best bang for the buck up here....

The GTR version of my car, there happend to be one for sale when I got mine. The Impul R33 sedan, was 30k more! There was only like 200 something made by Impul , and not by Nissan. I belive the series 2 R33 GTR sedans were made by Autech. Highly collectable.

But right now you can Import an R34 GTT landed and even plated for like 16K... R34 GTR landed and plated.... 34K.... And I'm obviously talking about the nicest examples available on the Japanese market currently.

That's more than double! Could convert the GTT to GTR spec for way cheaper yourself. Or mod it way beyond the stock GTR capability...

But that's just my .02 cents.

One day I may rock a license plate that says GTR LOL.

Gorgeous sedan. :dblthumb: Depending upon where you're at in Canada Nicofest at Carlisle may be close. Everyone there will show you a good time and I'd sure love to see this in person.

Thanks man.

She's turning out to be a great DD in the winter. The Hankook Ipikes on the narrowish OEM wheels are maginificent so far. Could run circles around many of these all-seasoned SUV's I encounter on the roads. But can be a bit nervy on some days, requires driving very defensively and on constant look-out for wank-stars.

Was definately looking at that meet. Hoping I can make it to that meet and IA this summer... Timing sucks sometimes though, but I'm going to road trip to at least one meet in the US this year. It's a great place to travel and explore.
