EX 35 ski/snowboard rack system?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Just got my EX35 and haven't had any luck finding a ski rack system compatible with the side rails. Are the cross bars necessary? Is the car too new for Yakima/Thule? Any other suggestions? Hurry! Its snowing!

I put a Thule system on my EX about a month ago. The 450 Crossroad feet attach to the factory rails perfectly. I then put LB50 Load Bars on, which I got cut to 47" from 50" to fit the EX perfectly. Add a 870XT - Fairing (Small) to cut down on wind noise. Once you got that on the car, you can put any Thule box or ski/snowboard system on it. I got an Ascent 1100, fits 5-6 pairs of skis/snowboards.

So what you need from Thule:

450 Crossroad, LB50 Load Bars, 870XT - Fairing (Small) & whatever box / rack you want.

On a side note, my dealership in Calgary Alberta told me mine was the 1st EX they saw with a Thule system on it.

I think this is what you're looking for, to mount a ski/snowboard rack without the crossbars.

This is my product which works really well, http://www.winterracks.com

I plan on offering a ski version very shortly. It is completely safe and works really well.
