I heard the EvoIII Big 16G will mount to the CA's stock manifold, is this true?

mitsubishis all use a triangular flange as far as i know. youll have to cut the flange off your mani, and stick a 3 hole triangle one on there. but that should be the extent of getting it to fit. possibly having to switch to a top mount if its that big

then your oil lines (and/or coolant) and a dump pipe... it may fit. i dont know

EDIT> and you might want to wait more than 1.5 hours to bump, not everyone is a huge nerd and check forums and email when the clock chimes like me

yes it does work, i have personally done it on my car, ill dig up my post about my build. it will not bolt to the stock manifold, nor does it use a triangle flange. it uses a standard 4 bolt mitsu flange that allot of their turbos use. i still have the fixture i built to duplicate the manifolds. i did not get one built to duplicate the downpipe / dump tube.

here is the link to the thread it has pictures of my car with the setup on it, there is also a dyno chart/ quater mile thread floating around also.

zerothread?id=136719

also right now im pretty much broke after moving the shop to a nicer building so id build one of these manifolds for 200$ and 15$ shipping i need some fun money to keep my sanity.

I had a evoiii 16g on my gsx with a slight tune and the usual mods exhaust and what not I ran a 12, less the 1500 into the car too.

What's so different about the mitsu turbos? I don't know anything about them. Is Mitsu>Garrett in the turbo department?

when it comes to cheap turbos that last and make good power yes they have a little advantage over garrett with a small group of turbos. the EvoIII turbo new is under 600$. the turbo is similar to a gt28rs, but its cheaper, spools faster, and its is capable of higher power output, the evoIII has been proven to put out 380hp some upto 390s almost 400hp, there are full weight GSX'x going into low 12s high 11s with them. for a turbo thats that cheap internally gated and gives you a nice power band you cant beat it.

This is the turbo that I'll be using on my GVR-4 and has made 420whp+ on other GVR-4's on the forums.Of course the power falls off a bit on the high end but the spool and midrange are simply unbeatable for the price.
