Not just asking Showing!

been planned for weeks now, been putting it off because i really didnt want to work on it. i knew it was going to be a PITA to build, but tonight i said screw it it was rainy out so i couldnt really do much else took me about 3hours to get this far, its rough but it should work. i need to take the studs out of the turbo so i can get it to sit flat on the flange, everything looks to fit alright. brake cylinder to housing is a bit close, but not much else i can do short of making the runners ungoddly long and putting the turbo far forward.b the turbine housings on these things are huge.

Looks really good Jon. I'd be interested to see what kind of numbers it puts down once you finish everything up.

What kind of stainless steel tubing are you using to build that. 304 low grade? And what diameter piping are you using for the runners?

I knew I shoulda just had you build me a manifold for my t3. Would saved me a lot of hassle that I'm going through right now.

its 304SS,mild Steel flanges,1.5" diameter piping. no real need to step up to 316 its more exspensive and i cant justify spending more on it when theres not much more in the way of benifits, maybe if i was building somthing that had to have really good corrosion resistance i would have used 316.

i dont predict this car will last past the summer. 400whp is my goal and 500+ w/ a lil juice. this thing will be seeing heavy track duty as a shop car this year to get us some cheap advertising in the local race community. handful of drift events, few road courses, and a few drag passes justto get some 11sec time slips. ill probably drive it daily for a few weeks, but my neighbors hate it and keep trying to have it towedm, so its stays in the shop most of the time.

yes these are probably the ugliest turbos not to mention awardly bulky.

looking to weld it all up tomorrow and begin fabricating the down pipe and wastegate dump. then begin installing the megasquirt, i was supposed to have it on the track april 9th, but thats not happening. im hoping to have it ready by may 1st.

not my best jig just needed it for when i placed the turbo, ill be making a nice jig so i can reproduce them on the small chance that someone may want one.

i get my materials across the street from my shop, tees, 45s,90s, and straight sections, if you need a source let me know i might be able to get you a deal if you dont have a source yet. i also have a nice selection of flanges.
