well its not only a present for me,its a group of our friends.we have been friends since 1st grade.soo yeah.im not only getting it cause he is my boyfriend.im getting it cause all my friends wanted to do it.as a big present.so yeah your option about gifts is different than mine.

OK...and S13 is a 240sx from 89-94

S14 chassis are from 95 and up...

an nice s14 will cost you more monies becasue they are newer but the Kouki model is very desireable...you need to ask him little questions about what he likes...hes prolly a ricer and any old moldy oldy S13 will suffice...the nicer the whip the more monies youre gonna haz to shell out...

If your being serious about that amount of money, then buy him an s13 or s14, whichever one he likes better.

Buy one that's not super expensive, then give him money to modify it as he pleases.

OP search the classifieds if you arent a troll.

A decent S13/14 can be had easily for under 20K including shipping it to wherever you are from wherever it is.

id say get an S13, cuz i like S13s but if ur friend is indifferent then get him an S14 as they are newer

If you want to buy a 240 check for rust (especially frame rust underbody, strut towers, etc etc. Is it running? How is it running. What motor is in it. The condition it is in cosmetically etc, how clean is the interior, paint, etc etc.)

Another thing to keep in mind... 240's are 11-20 years old, so they most likely have had a problem or have some kind of problem.

Your boyfriend probably wants to modify the car himself. So you probably want something close to stock. Or even just buy him a piece of crap clunker and say "Baby, heres your start."

You can get a 89-96 in decent shape for 1500-5500 and 97-98 for about $4000-8000 But it really depends, you could wind up finding a great deal for less. It usually take a bit of looking around to find a decent 240sx because they are older vehicles.

All in all to find a 240, look on ebay, forums, and craigslist. Many of these places are useful in finding cars. You're just going to have to go see them in person first to check out everything for yourself. Dont make assumptions.
