Sounds like you need to tune your s-afc.

You might want to install that fuel pump so you won't be running anywhere near lean.

What your EGR system is for is basically emisions crap you don't need it for your car to run properly. it pretty much recycles exhaust gasses from your header to your intake manifold if I remember correctlyAnd also there is a site (forgot whats the address) that sells EGR block off plates which will eliminate your whole EGR system

Is your BOV recirculated?

If not, this is probably it.

If it is, then check all your intercooler pipe connections to make sure they are secure and the clamps are tight.

I have the same BOV and same problem you are describing. I messed around the the DEC settings on the SAFCII with not much luck. I called Turbo XS tech support to see if I could get a kit to recirculate that BOV and there answer was to purchase the other model that is designed for recirculating. They told me even if I did weld up something to recirculate the current BOV that it would not work correctly. I am hoping when I install the new engine that I can get the DEC settings to work. I only had the car running for a few weeks before I developed a nice loud rod knock!

Is the BOV too loose, tighten the spring, that'll help some, then the DEC air settings on the SAFC will do the rest.

Put that fuel pump. But it isn't your problem. Your problem is your BOV. I run my atmospheric but the dec settign on my safc keep me from dieing. However every now and thne it still does it.

Hello, i read how to put my dec and when i started putting down the de1 it went down until 0 without problem. I read a post where you should do this with the car cold and then put the de2 with a point more. so right now my de1 is at0 and my de2 is at 1 i could not test it but i think that is really weard. Thanks

i got all those setting at like 3.0% then 2.8% then 3.4% think that works pretty well for me.Worked well enough and only driven twice at that setting and it's worked a whoel let better than around 1%

Ok here is what i did? Please correct me if i did womething wrong. I use as a reference the post that answered Structure like a year ago. I put my HI-Trtl and LO-Thrtl at -27%. Then on my DEC.-Air i did this:"when the car is completely cool start it up. have the safc mointoring throttle %, air flow, and rpms. have the engine at 1000rpms and write down the air flow. then have the engine at 2000rpms and write down the throttle % and air flow.now go to the dec. air settings. the THR setting is the throttle % you documented at 2000rpms. the NE1 setting is the air flow you had at 1000rpms. the NE2 setting is the air flow you had at 2000rpms. this will get you very close to the settings you need. may not be perfect but very close. this will allow you to run an atmospheric bov without stumbling between gears" From structure answer

Is that ok? ALsol i did it instead of 1000 i did it like at 1100 since the car did not went down.I started it and the car is shaking realllyu bad i did not use it since it still does not have the headlights and is dark What should i do i have to bring it to the body shop tomorrow at 9 so they can put the bumper and the headlights

Thanks

yeah idle should be ~700- 750 rpm...The shaking means you need to hurry up and get that beast tuned!!! I guarantee that you need to mess with the DEC settings on the SAFCII...Good luck!

Yes the car will be fine with the DEC setting on the SAFC wrong, it just might die a few times on the way. You arent running lean (Air Fuel Ratio) are you?? - As long as you arent running lean, you will be fine driving it to the Dyno.
