I just wanted to know what everyone is running at the track either it be 1/8 or 1/4. Reason i ask is because i plan to take my s14 automatic with no lsd to the track an run it in the 1/8. Not sure what i will get but if anyone has any tips please share them. Oh yeah i have intake & exhaust. But anyways share your times with me.....

tip - when the light turns green, depress the gas pedal...

ok, joking aside, try starting out by pressing the gas pedal right when the last amber light comes on. In most cars, this will typically have your car tripping the beam right as the green light comes on. Then, adjust your start on the next run depending on the results you get. If your reaction time is high, press the gas sooner. If you redlight, press the gas later.

As far as making it down the track, there's not much to it with an auto transmission. It's literally just press the gas and go. You can try experimenting on the launch holding the brake while giving a bit of gas to preload the drivetrain. I would refrain from revving too much like this and for too long as it can overheat the transmission fluid and perhaps cause other kinds of damage. And it probably will yield little gain if any.

14.168 at 94.87 mph in my slow *** Subaru.

Never tried to drag a car with an automatic transmission. I typically go when the first yellow light goes out and the second yellow light comes on. IRP runs a sportsman light.

I ran the mile in 5:55, so i would estimate that around 1:50 per 1/4 mile...prob around a speed of 2mph.

When it was auto - 16.6 w/ my OEM alloys and exhaust.

5spd - 16.1 w/ my heavy 17's and lots of junk in trunk, and gas.

I am peg legging (but not for too much longer).

Advice added to C-kwik: dont push the gas as soon as that third amber comes on, if you do you will redlight. When the third light comes on, wait a SPLIT SECOND, then mash on it. But, dont mash the gas AS SOON AS IT comes on. I mean you just have to get out there and do it and find out for yourself, but dont get it in your mind that you start going when that third amber lights up.
