Ok, so when I did the search all I get is adjusting rear camber with say cusco parts, etc. I want to know "HOW" you can change the camber for the rear tires. My brother bought his 240 from this guy who already adjusted the camber on stock springs so it's got 1 degree negative camber at OEM height and when we drop it... oh man, I can't bear to say it..:help

Thanks but that's not exactly what I was looking for. So then is it safe to say... you "CAN'T" adjust the rear suspension of S14's?!?

Yeah you can, but not much....if i get around to taking a pic i'll show ya...you'll need a kit to adjust for anything lower than 1.5"....just go check out PDM-racing.com for the kit, its only like $25...

if you look at your car from the back(looking up at the cars subframe), you'll see a lot of bolts connecting the sub-frame to the various suspension peices.

ON of the bolts connects the sub-frame to the rear upper controll arm. THat bolt is ECCENTRIC, loosen the back of it a little, then turn the bolt until you get the camber adjustment how you want it(or as close as you can, it can only adjust so much). You'll need an allignment machine to do this accurately, also.

hope that helps.-chet

The total camber change is less than 1degree on the stock adjustment. Actually, I think it's only half a degree. I don't even know why they bothered with it...

improper application.

-3 degrees is/should only be set for racing purposes, if at all.-chet(if you need THAT much adjustment, then you probably lowered tyhe car far beyond what factory adjustments can help anyway, and should just buy the controll arms.)

Get the alignment checked. If the toe is off too much, you'll see a lot of wear. Especially if you have too much camber.

-.75 in the rear should be plenty for even a hard driven street car or autoxer.

increasing negative camber in the rear will help reduce oversteer to a point.

negative camber on the front helps turn in and reduces understeer to a point.

ususally around -1 degree camber on the front is considered a good way to liven up the handling on a street car by reducing understeer (most cars are set to 0 camber from the factory which gives them lawyer friendly understeer).

on a drag racing setup 0 camber is good since it maintains the largest contact patch while going straight. on a lot of drag cars with independent rear suspension they will actually dial in a little positive camber in the back so they get 0 camber when the rear end of the car squats down under acceleration (this only applies to RWD cars). just remember NEVER EVER drive on the street with any amount of positive camber in the rear it makes the car spin out really easy when turning and if there is enough you can even roll the car (this was the major problem with the swingaxle VWs and older Corvairs)
