my friend (he didnt die) has experienced a serious loss. he had to buy a neon after selling his b16a1 crx. :( he lives 40 miles from home and his crx (right after swapping in a b16a1, for about 2k total for the swap) has been having probs, so he cant drive it to work. he knows if he missed work today he would get fired since he missed too many days when there was probs while swapping the motors (he did it on his 10 day vacation, but ran into TONS of probs). he also has bad credit, and there was only 1 place that would approve him, which was the same place that approved him for the rex a few years ago. so he HAD to buy from them. he didnt have time to sell his car for real money, he had to trade it in, so he had a down payment, to qualify for a loan. the only car htye had that he could afford was a 2001 dodge neon. he got 1k for his crx (wtf!!!) and paid 11k for the neon (WTF!!!). Driving a neon is just as bad as dieing. Everyone please give him your condolences, his aim name is crxecution. he doesnt know im telling people to IM him, so it will be a nice suprise when people tell him things get better. i hope things get better, i helped with the swap and im in an awful mood now. :(

damn that sucks, but things will get better.

What were some of the things wrong with the swap. My friend lives in oviedo and hes basically a honda swap guy. Did a H22 into a 94 Civic EX. I wish we could have known about you guys before.

the axles, the transmission's 5th gear, the radiator leaking, etc. overall, the engine fell apart after he put it in, and he doesnt even drive hard (no joke, ive seen him drive, he can drive well and doesnt haul *** in the slightest, he's real passive).

he swapped axles, and they were ****ed up ones. he got ****ed on 99% of the **** he bought. like hasport sent him a harness, that didnt even work right, and since they dont gaurantee it works (which is stupid, its in tiny letters on their site, which you dont look for on a trusted name ilke them) he was ****ed into paying for that. etc

ugh, harness is easy to do. Oh well. If you know anyone else with honda problems, let me know.

so you have a swap i assume? i know you wouldnt be rolling your eyes if you didnt. right? my friend didnt give up on anything, it's called cutting your losses. the car kept falling apart (stupid ****ing hondas, i told him to get a 240, but nooooo, lol) and he was already negative on funds. he didnt have a penny left to put into it, nor time for it to sit at a shop and get fixed, or sit in his garage while he fixed it, he needed it the next day. my friend doesnt have the character of someone who gives up cheif. ;)

during his months of studying up on the swap, everyone kept saying "you need a conversion harness from hasport, blablabla" cuz theyre all posers. they didnt mention he could do it himself, or im sure he would have tried. we found out recently that he would have been better off just doing the wiring himself.

yeah, 90% of their hopes and dreams lie in buying the jdm climate control for their jdm rice rocket. i cant stand 99.999999% of honda f***.

Perhaps I'm missing something...couldn't he rent a car or catch a ride to work instead of selling his car for a fraction of what he paid. Perhaps I missed something?

you missed the part where i said he has 0 money. he was actually in the negatives since he went WAY over budget when **** kept going wrong during the swap process. im not sure if i mentioned it (so you probably didnt have anything to miss) but his friends all live atleast 30 miles away (im about 40) and work different schedules than him.
