Was just wondering how happy everyone is with their Altima's. I have an 08 Rogue and am super happy with it, but the lease comes due in 6 months and my wife wants to get an Altima. I sure hate to give up the AWD though.

I like mine, but mostly because its a manual. if it was a CVT i probably wouldn't like it that much

Very happy in 7mo with my 2010 Altima 2.5SL with all options exc nav. Comfortable, quiet, sharp handling, and Bose stereo is great (for a factory unit). No problems at all. CVT certainly sounds different from traditional transmission, but it works great and I've been getting fantastic mileage. In moderate suburban/urban driving (keep up with traffic but no jack-rabbit starts nor hypermilling) I get 27+mpg. BTW- CVT can simulate manual shifting if you like, though I think the car generally performs best just left in Drive. Haven't yet taken long trips so can't say about highway mpg.

I just bought (2 weeks ago) my Altima 2.5S, super black. I LOVE THIS CAR with a few exceptions; I don't like the idea of not being able to check and work on the CVT, and I still need to feel the action of the transmission, but with that aside, I really enjoy driving it. The car is very quite on the roadway (Continental Tires 94Ts). I only wish that I could keep the #*&%ing pollen off it.

Seems like everybody's happy with it, which is great! Also - when the time comes around for you to look into leasing or purchasing a new Altima, send me a personal message and I can hook you up with down-low/unpublished information on the current Nissan incentives/rebates/deals for the month that you want to purchase in. Just because I love all you NICOnauts!

Bought a 2011 2.5S two weeks ago. Ventilation system is driving us crazy. Every time the car is started, the system come on with the floor vent on and the A/C on. This is regardless of the setting when the engine was turned off last..

Owner Update:

I love this vehicle now as much as I did last May when I purchased it. Finally got the windows tinted (45% 3M carbon film) all the way around thank you Dr Tint (Frederick, MD). Looking into purchasing the CAI, upgrade rear sway bar, engine grounding kit, wheels and cat-back. Trying not to make too many erratic changes, only trying to improve throttle response and max fuel economy [currently 35-39 mpg, w/ standard box K&N].

OK- The wheels are really for me, not the car...
