I actually have a Bomex front bumper sitting in my room already. But how does that work. Won't his insurance just pay to get it done back to stock look. How would I get them to do the Bomex bumper. Because it would need some body work before it could get painted.Josh

Yeah but I don't really think that his insurance is going to think to well of that. Can anyone explain how this process is going to work. Like with the insurance. Will they give me options of a body shop and then I get to pick and then I would have to talk to them about putting the Bomex front bumper on or will they just do it, or what?Josh

Well when my car got hit, I got an estimate for them(at the most expensive place in town) and the they sent out an insurance adjuster(?) to inspect my car. A couple weeks later i got a check in the mail for a bit less then the estimate i sent them. It was enough though for a new paint job and some change left towards my wheels.

usually they'll just cut you a check. You have to tell them that you want a private shop to do the repairs instead of one they suggest.

why don't you sell the terrible Bomex bumper, and get a new OEM one. you could then have a nice looking car.

What you need to do is talk to the people at the collision shop, tell them to include preperatory and installation charges for the bomex bumper in the estimate while dropping the stock bumper costs. Make sure to remind them that this is a "replacement part" as far as insurance adjusters are concerned..... I did the same thing for my car with my nismo bumper and my rims.

Remember, stock front bumper cost more than aftermarket. If I were you, after the ins. look at your car, just say that you want everything stock. After that, they will send you a check, or you can have the ins. fix it for you. It cost more for them to fix, but if you want it stock,have them do it. If not, just take the check, which it lesser, but you will have your bomex front.
