ever melt a RB25 piston?

I did ......not sure what exactly happend. It was cylinder number 6 piston that melted, the rest were fine. Cylinder number six is the first one to get the fuel, so I am pretty sure that the injector was stuck closed. Gave me an excuse to get a forged internal block. So I am going to have plenty of fun this summer

Holy crap! My buddy did that on his SR and it was the back cylinder too.... What fuel pump are you running? My buddy ran a SR @ 15psi and stock pump. Ouch.

actually if you look closly you can see the melted portion in the ring land and the top of the piston itself is melted....I actually chipped off the fallen apart ringland.

holy oversized photos batman!melted pistons are the suxor, but then again so are rb25's.crappy ringlands like the ka, just for better emmissions go figure.
