Essentially, it's a scam perpetrated by the Nixon administration to continue the debt party after we went off the gold standard. American government's love affair with guiltless spending is not new. :nono:

The world is tired of America footing it's ballooning debt through these steetcorner three card monty tricks and when this scheme finally falls apart that piece of paper in your wallet is going to become worth what it's truly worth, nothing.

As we go into a presidential election cycle I would recall a commonly quoted phrase "it's the economy stupid."
