Made by Cooper tires. Since it is a little slow today, I was calling around to check on tires and this guy highly recommended these. They look pretty cool on line, the specs are there for the Q...95W, he says they are very quite, handle real well and that he has been putting these mostly on 'Vetts and Mustangs. Any input would be greatly appreciated...235/45/17 on the front, 245/45/17 rear = $ 519.98 OTD....

Thanks,Chaz

I have never heard of them unfortunately! I would say you should consider Falken Ziex 512's in a 245/45-17 size instead of the above. I got them for $100 each from Victoria Tire (http://www.victoriatire.com) - Tire Rack does not carry Falken, unfortunately.

The Falken Ziex is more well known and liked by a number of people here (AZHitman and me). Also, they are 99Y rated - better to get the extra load carrying capacity, IMO.

I've got another guy quoting me on the falken 512's and the nitto 555's. He is going to call me in the morning. I called to get a quote on the falken's and he recommended the nitto's. Like you said the falken's have a 99Y load rating and the nitto's are 89W...better to go with the falken's. I'm sure the costs will be the same. The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's, 235/50/17 + 245/50/17 are $1000 installed. My dream tire which I had before upgrading my rims...

89W is really unsafe for a Q!!! I agree with you ... I would certainly not do the Nitto!

They look like standard tires. See

for info. Regardless, 89W is too weak a tire for the Q.

Mastercrafts suck!!!

I bought my fiero from an auction for $175 to drive across country and it had 3 brand new Mastercrafts on it. It also had one nasty old goodyear that looked dry rotted.

2000 miles in to my trip at desert speeds in Arizona, I start to get a vibration. I pull over to the first gas station thinking, "There goes that screwed up Goodyear that someone wouldn't even use as a tire swing" After jacking up that side of the car and checking both those tires, which are fine, I have to jack up the other side. One of the Mastercrafts is severely egg shaped.

No problem, I bolt on my temporary spare and start driving. A couple hours later the car starts to shake again. I pull over to a tire shop in a town and one of the other Mastercrafts is egg shaped. I put 2 used BFG's on the car and put the spare back in the trunk.

The tire guy said it didn't even look like I'd overheated the tires, He said they just came apart. He looked about 18, but seemed to know tires.

Sorry about the length, but I really hate Mastercrafts.
