Good for you.

I’ve contemplated a lot about the sound system. My personal preference would have been doing something like this

so you don't have to worry about hiding the clock, or the vents. It also looks more stock with the double din. Good job none the less.

You'd definitely have to have an awesome install job done, which would set you back quite a bit, which is why I have not done it.

was that hard to do? i would love to do that with my Q. I was just wondering is there wiring that has to be changed? or is it simply just buying an LED bulb that fits in place of the standard bulb?

the ones in the clock are called #74 bulbs.

I bought from here http://www.superbrightleds.com/

I bought the ones that were already in the bulb holder so it would fit snug. I also had to take apart the clock to lock in the bulbs because it's damn near impossible to lock them in otherwise.

The ones in the instrument cluster are just standard wedge bulbs. I've tried several different led bulbs for this getting very different results from each one. The best and my current ones are these

come on! moving that single din bar down is easy.

take off the old leather, cut out the single and the double din, brace and glue/fiber them back together and find a leather shop to match the color/quality. easy!

make custom brackets/braces to hold everything up behind the dash.

that picture would be the ideal setup.

i like my setup but id love to move the symetry and put a screen down there.
