ever been ripped off on buying parts?

I'm asking because I just bought my UTEC for my 2003 G35 sedan and it doesn't fit my ECU. The UTEC is sold as fitting the 350z and G35. They don't tell you that it won't fit the 5AT. It seems like the ECU is shaped differently. It doesn't fit at all. And the store where I got it charges a 30% restocking fee. This is BS. Well I'm now selling this in the classifieds for anyone interested.

yeah, I've learned to ask lots of questions!was burned once on ebay when I bought a 'mint condition' guitar that had several cracks on the fret board....also, the bridge was lifting. Have been luckier with parts.

Always ask questions before buying ... they always leave out little details that actually make it a BIG deal in the end ..

You can try what i did , took a mild attitude at the store ... a little WTF man!! you said this crap would fit on my car... i want a FULL refund! none of your BS!

In the end , they would kick you out , call the cops , or give you a refund

I'm selling it for $600 including the remote switch. I was going to call the store but I didn't really want to deal with them. I might still try it though. But for now I would just like to get $600 out of it. I put it in the classifieds on here with a picture of it as well. I ordered it from Hopupracing but it's not just them. Everywhere I looked it said that it fit the 350z and the g35.

Ok I took the advice from "Gimli G35" as far as contacting them about a refund since it wasn't my fault. They were completely understanding and are giving me a full refund. They also sent me a link to print out a label from UPS which is prepaid to send it back to them. I'm now looking at buying an Apexi Neo if they can verify that it will work on my G35. And they also called turbo XS and found out that it is actually most 2003's that the UTEC won't fit. It wasn't just because I had an automatic. So if anyone wants a free Utec remote then just ask. I can't send it back because I already put glue on it to install but I can still get it back out. Just ask me if you need it.
