any one have any feedback on this product.

scraped out a rusted seam with an exacto blade. havent hit bare metal. not sure if the factory spot welds are solid steel or solid rust. canister of 20 saturated wipes for $9.50 thought maybe i could pack em in there try an dissolve it.

nah but i've never heard of that stuff either. 9 bux for 20 wipes sounds liek a rip off, though. I heard of this stuff that comes in an aerosol can and you spray it onto rust and converts it so some other chemical that wipes off easily. Can't imagine it costing too much and sounds like you can do much more with a can of the stuff than some wipes..

well more like pads since i cant immerse the car for 12 hrs. apparenty they use similiar chemical on navy equipment. rust convertors alright but its still as brittle as rust. I want it down to bare metal so I know what im dealing with. got a wirewheel for the dremel so ill hit it when the rain stops.

maybe just try sandpaper? what rusted seam are you talking about?

base of the front strut tower. I just want to figure out if the factory spot welds are intact without damaging it.

naval jelly... that goo will stick on those things & eat away the rust...then hose off w/ water & u r good to sand/primer it...

dad used it in the philly naval shipyard

ahh.. heard of that i thought it was another rust convertor i'll have to look into it. thanks rice
