evap canister..........do i need it ?

ok so i was wondering do i need my evap canister for my swap or can i just plug the open ports ?

like this do i need these or can i take them off ?where does this vacc port go to ?

slowly getting things together most of the hard stuff is done waiting on small parts to come and then its off to neotech for some trouble shooting

it's for emmission and safety; but you can get rid of it;

vacuum port in the 3rd pic goes to the factory turbo gauge sender. I just used it for my turbo timer/boost gauge. I'm wondering about the evap canister too.

Yeah go ahead and keep them plugged, plug that 3rd nipple too unless you have a boost gauge or something, if so that's a great place to hook up the vacuum line.

plug evap unless you have problems passing inspection with emissions, theres no safety issue involved.

and the nipple is for the factory boost gauge on the r33 cluster. use it for aftermarket one or cap it.

Just note that your interior or garage will smell like gasoline all the time if you remove it. I am seriously tempted to reinstall one on my swap because it sucks driving to work and showing up at the office smelling like you used gas for cologne.

on the first pick above: the 2 pink plugged lines,on one of them i have a line goin to my boost controller and on the other i have a line goin to my boost gauge..i have one underneath the throttle body also and that has a line to my BOV..i have one plugged and it is the one facing my firewall...idk if it is right but thats how i have it
