Evap Canister below the glove box? My first ever post, NEW!

Hi id like to say a big hello to all the pathfinder/QX4 family Jus recently sold my 99' Maxima SE now im a new owner of 2001.5 Sahara Beige Pathfinders LE. Love my VQ motors .
Got the car for really cheap in great condition but had a few small issues to tend too.

Can someone please help me in answering this questions? First of all i do not have cabin filters (saw on here you can cut out slots and install yourself) Has anyone ever had a issue with a wierd noise coming from the black box behind the glovebox? I opened it slightly and bent the plastic box and i see a few gold pipes and what looks like a metal filter? The noise is only comes on when i press the auto A/C button but will stop when i press the ECON botton..Its annoying as heck but everything works fine.

Please help if anyone has had this same problem and thank you

I think what you are describing is where the heater core and the blower motor are located. Does it make noise when you turn on the fan switch? without the A/C button pushed. The other noise you maybe hearing is the clutch on the A/C compressor motor kicking on.

I think its the A/C evaporator beside the blower yes and only makes noise when A/C is activated...starting to think its coming from the A/C compressor hmmm
