evap can vacuum setup

I was cleaning my maf today and noticed that one of the lines from my evap can doesn't go anywhere. upon further investigation I realized there are 4 total lines coming out of it, and I thought there was only supposed to be 3.



so, the very top one is going to the intake mani, one of the middle ones is also going to the intake mani(as per pic in service manual), the other one at the top is going to the hard line leading to the gas tank. the hose sticking out of the bottom is going nowhere, so now I'm not sure if I have the two top ones going to the right place.

anyone know how this thing is supposed to be hooked up exactly?

lol that is all wrong i will find the pick i have of the vacuum diagram and post it later. btw what you got there is there a motor swap in there whats that piping and the maf sittin there for? is the engine light on?

it's an s13 SR20 blacktop, I had the intake half taken apart to clean the maf, then I took it apart more when I noticed the top hose and the bottom hose on the can weren't connected to anything...in fact the top hose had found it's way into my fan shroud and was being smacked around by my fan.

so that pic is mostly just of the can so people can see what I'm talking about.

then my vacum chart cant help seeing its not for that engine, i don't know how to help you, whoever did the swap had a reason for mixing the hoses around like that

well for the moment I've removed the whole thing. I saw a write up in one of the Z forums where a guy made his own, much simpler and better setup than the stock one IMO. I made a post about it in the SR rear drive forums so hopefully I'll get some info there. thanks though.
