I apologize for the dirtiness of the car. It was starting to rain as I took these, so washing the car would have been pointless.

Now... Pixorz!

Wheels: Konig Reasons, 17x7

These tires are a little burlier than stock...

Tires: BF Goodrich T/A Sport, 215/45-ZR17

Drop's not happening in the foreseeable future. Driving the car as a field repair tech means "no" to that for now.

How much did the tires set you back if you don't mind me asking? Also, how hard was it to have the new TMPS Sensors programmed?

Sadly, I had to reuse the TPMS sensors fom my snow tires. It would appear that Scott is no longer with West Covina Nissan, and could not get me the deal on the TPMS sensors that I needed.

So... no trouble with the TPMS sensors as I have only 1 set now...

The tires were $108 each, but there was a rebate of $60 for buying a set of 4... Rebate is good until 2/2/08. So after rebate, it's $93 per tire plus mounting and balancing.

My rims ARE wider than stock. Stock is 5.5"... my new rims are 7" wide. Stock tires are 185 mm wide... new tires are 215 mm wide.

ev those tires look sweet!i would think with just the strut bar and those rims and tires you will see a world of difference with no lowering.

Nice wheels, EV. They look good.

Someone mentioned dropping the car. I'm not understanding this. What's lowering the car do? Is it a looks thing? Because if it is, I don't think it looks good at all.

Congrats on the wheels. I think it looks good just the way it is.

OK... a couple preliminary reports of things people have asked about in this thread:

Handling - SICK! These tires grip well, even in the wet. They ARE summer tires, though, so I'm not going to bother testing them on snow. But the past couple days when it's thawed out and I've had either wet or dry roads, the grip has been phenomenal.

Weight/Acceleration - I don't have a scale that can accurately weigh the difference, but the combination seems to be a little heavier than the stock ALLOY and tire combination. It's PROBABLY lighter than the stock STEEL and tire combo. I've noticed one hill that's a hair tougher to get up, but for the most part, the car feels normal.

Fuel economy - we'll have to wait at least another tank before I can make a judgement on this. I had some unfortunate traffic patterns that I got stuck in on my last tank (including idling for nearly 20 minutes waiting for a pair of freight trains to figure out who had the right of way, and they were blocking all car traffic in the area from moving) so I can't be sure that the decrease in mileage was from the wheels/tires, or from the combination of idling and crappy traffic.
